Code Label Standard code Definition
original_home Original home Household remains in its usual dwelling.
original_home_repaired Original home, partially repaired Household is back in its usual dwelling after undertaking partial repairs.
tent_or_emergency_shelter Tent or emergency shelter Household is living in an emergency tent, plastic-sheeting shelter, or similar emergency structure.
transitional_shelter Transitional shelter Household is living in a transitional shelter unit provided by a humanitarian agency or government, intended as a bridge to permanent reconstruction.
collective_center Collective centre Household is sheltering in a collective centre such as a school, public hall, or place of worship being used as temporary accommodation.
host_family Hosted by another family Household is staying with a host family (relatives, friends, or other hosts).
rented_accommodation Rented accommodation Household has rented a separate dwelling as temporary or continuing accommodation after the shock.
displacement_site Displacement site or camp Household is in a managed displacement site or camp.
unsheltered Unsheltered / open air Household is without shelter (sleeping outside, under tarpaulin strung between trees, or in vehicles).
